Red Stage

AI in regulatory practice

Which applications do we want to promote, which do we want to limit?

P2B Regulation, DSA, DMA, Data Act, Data Governance Act, CSAM Regulation, but above all AI Act and AI Liability Directive - behind all these abbreviations are detailed pieces of legislation that deal with data, algorithms or explicitly with AI and reflect new regulatory approaches. In addition to the EU regulatory level, there are also approaches in national law. The panel will discuss more fundamentally which instruments should be used to frame AI, which applications should be prohibited or restricted, which special features (should) apply to application examples in the media sector, which groups have special protection needs, and to what extent algorithm-based technologies should not only be regulated, but can or should also be used as an instrument of regulation.
