Dr. Eva Flecken has been Director of Medienanstalt Berlin-Brandenburg (mabb) since 15 March 2021 and Chairwoman of the Commission for Licensing and Supervision (ZAK) and the Directors' Conference of the State Media Authorities (DLM) since 1 January 2024. Most recently, Eva Flecken was Vice President at Sky Deutschland, where she was responsible for regulation and youth protection as well as policy for the DACH region. Before taking over the management of Sky's Berlin office in 2014, Eva Flecken was responsible for digital projects, network and media policy at mabb. As a consultant for platform regulation and media policy at the Joint Office of the State Media Authorities, Eva Flecken already dealt with topics related to the digitization of broadcasting. During her doctorate, which Eva Flecken completed in 2010 at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster, she worked for a member of the Bundestag, where she focused primarily on domestic policy issues.
