Political influencers in the social media

An award ceremony by the Hanns Seidel Foundation

The Hanns Seidel Foundation is awarding the "Political Influencers in Social Media" prize as part of the Munich Media Days 2024. The prize is endowed with a total of 6,000 euros and is awarded in various categories. With this prize, the Hanns Seidel Foundation aims to provide an impetus for high-quality social media content in the field of politics. "We want to recognise influencers who present politics in a modern and understandable way and explain complex topics clearly," says Markus Ferber, MEP and Chairman of the Hanns Seidel Foundation. "Ideally, political influencers provide an impetus to engage with politics, thereby arousing interest and motivating interested parties to become active," adds jury chairman Dr Jonas Schützeneder, Professor of Journalism and Digital Innovation at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. The detailed terms and conditions of the competition are also available at hss.de/award-political-influencer-social-media/
