Project Manager, Learning Waves

Teresa is the Project Manager with Learning Waves, the training body for the Independent Radio Sector in Ireland. Teresa has been at the helm of Learning Waves since its inception in 2004. In her role as Project Manager, Teresa oversees the design, development and delivery of training and networking events which are bespoke to the sector. In addition to this Teresa is responsible for securing funding for such training programmes and events. Teresa has played a key role in the development of training programmes aimed at recruiting new talent into the industry since 2015. She has worked with the industry to design the programmes and secure funding for the programmes. The key programmes developed include the 360 Broadcast Bootcamp Programme and the Journalism Graduate Programme. Teresa also oversees the Radio Industry Diversity Sub Committee, is a member of the steering group of Media Literacy Ireland and the Broadcasting Sustainability Network. She is currently working with the industry to develop a series of bespoke courses focusing on Broadcast Sustainability. She is former Chairperson of Skillnet Ireland Network Excellence Group and is currently a member of the group. Teresa is passionate about life-long learning and continually invests in her own development having recently completed an Advanced Diploma in Social Media and Media Law with Kings Inns College in 2021. She holds an MSc. In Quality Management and an MBS in Human Resource Strategies. One of her proudest achievements while working in the independent radio industry was when she received the Outstanding Achievement at the IMRO Radio Awards 2021 on behalf of Learning Waves.
