Jochen Gundel

As Director Sport, Jochen Gundel is responsible for the three pillars of production, editorial and digital for all sports content at Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) in Germany, including in particular the TV and digital offerings of Eurosport and the sports content on the discovery+ streaming service.

The 46-year-old from Upper Franconia, who has been working for Warner Bros. Discovery since 2016, also plays an important role in the international WBD sports team, which manages the Olympic content in all WBD markets.

The Paris Games were his 7th Olympic Games since 2006 and Gundel previously created content for the IOC's Olympic Broadcasting Service (OBS) at the Turin 2006, Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games. From 2012 to 2014, he was Head of Planning at the sports news channel Sky Sport News HD.
