Leonie Wunderlich is a research associate at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans Bredow Institute (HBI). In the project "Use the News - News Usage and News Literacy in the Digital Age," she is looking into the question of how young people in Germany inform themselves and what role journalistic offerings play in this. In her master's degree in "Journalism and Communication Studies" at the University of Hamburg, Leonie Wunderlich examined the news usage practices and news avoidance strategies of 18- to 24-year-olds. She studied for her bachelor's degree in media and communication studies at the University of Düsseldorf and Aberystwyth University in Wales.
