
Didier Stoessel
Chief Investment Officer, PPF Group
Didier Stoessel was appointed as the Chief of Investment Division at PPF since April 2022, and Executive Officer of CME since October 2020. CME, with its 45 mil viewers that are watching over 30 stations in six European countries is a part of the PPF Group. Mr. Stoessel brings with him extensive strategic and senior management experience in media, technology, and global finance from his previous work at Modern Times Group, HSBC Investment Bank, and Merrill Lynch International. Prior to joining the CME Group, he was a Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nova Broadcasting Group, a television broadcaster in Bulgaria, from August 2012 until December 2018, that was owned by Swedish media company Modern Times Group (MTG A.B.) since October 2008. Previously, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Balkan Media Group between 2007 and 2009. He joined HSBC Investment Bank in 1997 as a Co-Head of Corporate Finance and served as its Deputy Chief Executive of Corporate Finance since 1998 and Chief Executive of Corporate Finance since 1999. Mr Stoessel joined Merrill Lynch International in 1991, where he held a position of Director of Investment Banking until 1997. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, a MSc in engineering from ENSTA, and has a Master in European Affairs from Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA).
