Dr. Christoph Schneider

Dr. Christoph Schneider is Country Director of Prime Video in Germany and Austria and Managing Director of Amazon Digital Germany GmbH. In his position at Prime Video, he is responsible for bundling the strategies of SVOD, TVOD, Prime Video Channels and AVOD, among other things. Before joining Amazon (in 2012), Dr. Schneider was a member of the management board of maxdome GmbH from 2010 and, as sole managing director from 2011, was largely responsible for the successful integration of the online video store into the ProSiebenSat1 Group. Prior to this, he held various management positions at Hubert Burda Media, the Kirch Group and the Bertelsmann Group for 14 years, most recently as Managing Director of Abantis Media GmbH (Burda). Among other things, Dr. Schneider was Managing Director at Burda Yukom Publishing (later Burda Creative Group, today C3 Creative Code and Content), where he was responsible for the acquisition and integration of Yukom Medien (Axel Springer) into the Group and the further expansion of the corporate publishing business. Prior to that, he was a member of the board of Venturepark AG (Bertelsmann), publishing director of the German ELLE Group (Burda) and head of rights trading and co-productions for Italy at the Kirch Group (Beta-Film). Dr. Schneider studied international business administration at the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, and completed his doctorate at the marketing department of the University of Mannheim.
