Samira El Ouassil

Samira El Ouassil is an actress and publicist. She writes a weekly column for SPIEGEL, and was awarded the Bert Donnepp Prize for Media Journalism for her media-critical column "Wochenschau" on uebermedien.de, as well as being named Cultural Journalist of the Year. She is also a columnist for @mediasres on Deutschlandfunk and a podcaster. In October 2021, together with Friedemann Karig, she published the non-fiction book "Erzählende Affen," which is currently still on the Spiegel bestseller list.
