
Judith Wittwer

Judith Wittwer is the first woman to head Süddeutsche Zeitung. Since July 2020, she has been leading the editorial team of Germany's largest subscription daily newspaper together with Wolfgang Krach. Previously, the 45-year-old Swiss was editor-in-chief of the Zurich Tages-Anzeiger. From 2011 to 2014, she worked as business editor for Axel Springer Verlag's Handelszeitung. Wittwer studied International Relations at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and completed diploma training at MAZ - The Swiss School of Journalism. Judith Wittwer is married and the mother of two daughters.
