Growing up between vines, the Black Forest and an inner urge to leave all that behind for the time being, I studied history and political science. I was so unsuccessful that I was very happy to land an internship at Spiegel Online in 2015. Once I landed in the social media vortex, I had virtually no choice but to pursue the enthusiasm. And so, via Spiegel Online and Bento, I went on to Mit Vergnügen, to watson.de, to Funk projects in self-employment and started "Alman Memes" and "Museum of Deutschland" on the side. I'd be lying if I hadn't tried to leave social media behind me a time or two (writing novels, writing screenplays, developing podcasts for Spotify and so on), but I always ended up back on Insta, TikTok and YouTube.
