Juliane Eßling

Juliane Eßling (17.4.1976) has been Editor-in-Chief SAT.1 since July 2021, responsible for all the station's magazines and factual formats. A journalism graduate, she joined SAT.1 from Mediengruppe RTL, where since 2019 she was deputy editor-in-chief, where she was responsible for the digital transformation of all news and magazine formats, as well as for recruiting and developing all presenters. Prior to that, she worked as editorial director of various formats (including "Guten Morgen Deutschland," "Punkt 12") and was head of factual entertainment and development. Eßling started her TV career as an editor for talk shows, and later worked as a writer and producer for production companies such as MME and as a managing partner at RIO Film. Juliane Eßling's first contact with SAT.1 was in 2006, when she was the C.V.D. of the editorial department of "SAT.1 am Mittag.
