Dr Marc Egger is Senior Vice President Data Products, Technology & Strategy at RTL Germany and is responsible for all topics related to the alignment and development of data products in the area of machine learning and AI. With his teams, he drives the development of data-driven products and solutions for both B2B and B2C. This includes AI and data science activities in the area of video-on-demand and consumer-facing products, including search, discovery and recommendation, as well as activities in our AI-driven decision support systems for programme planning, reach and advertising impact forecasting. Marc Egger has been working in various functions in the RTL Data division since May 2019. With his expertise, he is actively involved in the transformation process of RTL Germany into a data-driven and technologically leading media company. Before joining the media industry, Dr Egger was CEO of a start-up that develops software-as-a-service tools for benchmarking brand and product images using AI methods. Dr Egger is the author of several peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in the field of information systems and data science and co-editor of the book "Computational Social Science in the Age of Big Data".
