René Kasperek

René Kasperek explores the intersection of extended reality and artificial intelligence. As CTO and experience architect at Blickwinkel Tour, he develops immersive experiences that bring history and culture to life in new dimensions. With his new project, Splexit, he transforms classrooms into XR-supported learning spaces.

Coming from a background in 3D and software development, Kasperek now works on self-hosted, AI-supported applications that serve as the basis for sovereign, data-secure XR experiences. He sees the fusion of XR and AI as the next step in media development: away from linear content and toward vibrant, adaptive worlds—but also potential dangers that may arise from this synthesis. In lectures and workshops, he shares his vision of a future in which immersive spaces and context-aware AI will permanently change our perception, learning, and thinking—and why open source will become more important than ever before.
