Integration and Diversity of Content Officer, Westdeutscher Rundfunk

Iva Krtalić is Integration and Diversity of Content Officer at Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) in Cologne. She is active in German and European networks around the issues of media, immigration and diversity, including the EBU Intercultural Diversity Group, the ARD Diversity Board, the Media Dialogue of the National Action Plan on Integration and the NRW Advisory Board for Participation and Integration. Iva was born in Zagreb, she has worked for various newspapers and publishing houses in Croatia and Germany as a journalist and translator and was active in refugee work. She has been working at WDR since 2000, first as a freelance writer, then as a radio editor, mainly WDR COSMO, and since 2016 as an integration officer. Iva studied in Zagreb and Berlin and did her PhD on the topic of media discourses around the politics of difference.
