Cornelia Holsten

Cornelia Holsten, a lawyer, has been Director of the Bremen State Media Authority since 2009. She is the media institutions' topic officer for accessibility and diversity. In 2017, she was Chairwoman of the Commission for the Protection of Minors in the Media and in 2018 and 2019 Chairwoman of the Directors' Conference of the State Media Authorities (DLM) and, at the same time, of the nationwide Commission for Licensing and Supervision (ZAK). She is a member of the board of the Institute for European Media Law (EMR) and lectures on media usage trends and media law at the University and Hochschule Bremen. Previously, Holsten was a judge at the Bremen Regional Court. She began her professional career as a lawyer for business, media and IT law.
