Emily Sherwin

Emily Sherwin spent five years as a correspondent for DW (Deutsche Welle) in Moscow. From 2017, she reported from across Russia on social developments and the policies of Vladimir Putin's regime. Since the start of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the Kremlin-ordered closure of DW's Moscow bureau, Sherwin has worked as a reporter from Berlin, with regular stops at DW's temporary "exile studio" in Riga. Emily Sherwin is a native of the United States, but grew up in Germany and England. She studied Russian and French at Cambridge University.
