
Max Wiedemann
Chief Business Development & Chief Production Officer, LEONINE Studios
Max Wiedemann is a shareholder and co-founder of LEONINE Studios and, as Managing Director of LEONINE Holding and Chief Production Officer, heads the group's entire fiction production. As Chief Business Development Officer, he is also responsible for the development of new business areas and their integration. Max Wiedemann studied production and media business at the University of Television and Film in Munich. In 2003, he founded Wiedemann & Berg Film together with Quirin Berg, followed by the founding of W&B Television in 2010. As its shareholder, managing director and producer, he has since been responsible for over 120 productions for cinema and television. These include the Oscar®-winning feature film DAS LEBEN DER ANDEREN, the two-time Oscar®-nominated WERK OHNE AUTOR as well as various number 1 hits such as MÄNNERHERZEN, VATERFREUDEN or WILLKOMMEN BEI DEN HARTMANNS. On television, he is a producer for series such as 4 BLOCKS (TNT Serie), DER PASS (Sky) or the first German Netflix Original DARK, which was voted the most popular Netflix Original Series in the world by the leading US rating platform Rotten Tomatoes. Max Wiedemann is a member of the German Film Academy, the European Film Academy and the British Film Academy. His awards include Bavarian Entrepreneur of the Year, as well as the European Film Award, the British Film Award, the Austrian Film Award, the German Film Award, the Bavarian Film Award, the German Television Award, the Bavarian Television Award, the LA Critics Award, the Golden Camera and the Bambi.
