Since 2002, Maria has embodied one of the most successful female investigators on German television in the "NDR Tatort" detective Charlotte Lindholm. In Isabel Stever's feature film "Das Wetter in geschlossenen Räumen," she was Dorothea, an aid worker caught between all the stools, and in Ariane Zeller's ARD film "Nachts Baden," she played the rock singer Pola. Together with her daughter Elisabeth, she runs the MaLisa Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting gender justice. She has received numerous awards for her roles and her commitment. Most recently, she can be seen in the feature film "Bekenntnisse des Hochstaplers Felix Krull" and in a new season of the TNT comedy original "Ausgebremst," which she developed with her production company Atalante Film. The case of the Göttingen investigative team "Die Rache an der Welt" will mark her 20th anniversary of service in October 2022.
