Roshanak Khodabakhsh

Roshanak "Rosh" Khodabakhsh is a German-Iranian film producer, born in Tehran/Iran in 1983, raised in Cologne. After graduating from high school, she worked as an assistant for various TV and film productions. In 2009 she successfully completed her studies at the ifs internationale film schule köln in Creative Producing. After graduation, she worked with director Ali Samadi-Ahadi as an associate producer on the Adolf Grimme Award-winning documentary THE GREEN WAVE. After further training at Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris, she started working in 2011 as a project manager and later co-producer at One Fine Day Films, a production company founded by Tom Tykwer and Marie Steinmann-Tykwer. In 2013, she started working as a freelance filmmaker for international and national TV and film productions and joined DCM as a producer in October 2019. With Jorgo Narjes, she is co-founder and initiator of NewMotion. She joined Port au Prince Film & Kultur Produktion GmbH as a producer and member of the executive board in March 2023.
