Thomas Dauser

Director Innovation Management and Digital Transformation, SWR

Thomas Dauser, born in 1975, studied general rhetoric and political science in Tübingen and worked as a reporter and presenter in the SWF/SWR state studio there. In 2004 he came to Mainz as a writer for the political magazine "Zur Sache Rheinland-Pfalz!" on SWR television. In 2006, he switched to "Report Mainz" on Ersten. For his investigative research, he was awarded the media prize of Kindernothilfe, among others. In the editorial department at the Mainz location, he was also responsible for special programmes on federal and state elections, among other things, and was involved in the development of new TV formats. In 2012, Thomas Dauser became Head of the SWR's Directorate, and in 2016 he was also appointed Head of Strategic Corporate Development, where he accompanied the multimedia restructuring process at SWR. Since June 2021, Thomas Dauser has headed the newly created Directorate of Innovation Management and Digital Transformation at SWR. There, he built up teams for analytics and audience development, among other things, as well as the X Lab, SWR's innovation lab.
