Markus Ferber
MdEP & Chairman Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung, Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung
MEP & Chairman of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, Markus Ferber (born 1965), graduate engineer, has represented Swabia in the European Parliament since 1994. He was Chairman of the CSU European Group from 1999 to 2014. From 2005 to 2023 he was district chairman of the CSU Swabia. He is a member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and a deputy member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism. Markus Ferber is spokesperson for the Parliamentary Group for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (PKM Europe) and coordinator of the EPP Group in the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs. He has been Chairman of the CSU-affiliated Hanns Seidel Foundation since 2020. In July 2021, he was elected Vice-President of the Union of European Federalists (UEF).
