Georgia Brown, Director European Amazon Original Series, Amazon Studios
Georgia Brown is responsible for Amazon Studios development and production of Amazon Originals in Europe. These include productions such as “Good Omens”, “El Corazon de Sergio Ramos” and “Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo”.
Brown joined Amazon in 2017 from FremantleMedia, where she served as Executive Vice President of Content and Co-Productions, leading acquisitions for FremantleMedia International (FMI). She has also worked on a number of projects, including Young Pope and Amercian Gods.
Previously, Georgia Brown was SVP of Acquisitions at Shine International, where she worked on productions such as Broadchurch, Educating Yorkshire and Masterchef, and Commercial Director at BBC Worldwide. There she worked with independent producers in the UK and internationally.
Fred Kogel, CEO, Show German AcquiCo/Tele München Gruppe
Fred Kogel, an experienced media manager, is the head of the newly founded company, which emerged from the Tele München Gruppe, Universum Film, i&u TV and Wiedemann & Berg Film.
Kogel started his career in 1981 as a radio producer for ARD and various private radio stations. In 1989 he switched to TV and worked as a freelance producer for entertainment shows, including “Wetten, dass…” for ZDF. From 1993 to 1995, he was also head of entertainment there. This was followed by six years in the management of Sat.1. In 2001 he founded the production company Constantin Entertainment.
During the same period, Kogel became a member of the KirchMedia Management Board until he took over the CEO position of Constantin Film AG for six years in 2003. In parallel, he founded Kogel & Schmidt GmbH with Harald Schmidt in 2004 and produced late-night shows for ARD, Sat.1 and Sky. In 2014, he merged Kogel & Schmidt with his consulting firm Fred Kogel GmbH and became CEO of Constantin Medien AG until 2017.
Yvette Gerner, Intendantin, Radio Bremen
Since 1 August 2019, Yvette Gerner holds the position of the artistic director at Radio Bremen. The professional career of the journalist began during her studies of political science, German and Slavic studies as a freelancer at the newspaper “Die Rheinpfalz” in Speyer. Already during her doctorate at the University of Heidelberg, Gerner worked as an editorial assistant in the main editorial department for foreign policy at ZDF.
After completing her traineeship in 1996 and 1997 at ZDF, she held various positions there: As head of the Foreign Affairs department of the ZDF main editorial office, she was responsible for special programmes and personnel issues and was deputy director of the “ZDF-auslandsjournals”. Yvette Gerner has been CvD in the ZDF editorial board since 2010. She also coordinated the various editorial teams in conflict and breaking-news situations, special situations and outstanding events such as elections.
Peter Figge, CEO und Partner, Jung von Matt
Since 2010, Peter Figge has been CEO and partner of the renowned, independent advertising agency Jung von Matt. The 53-year-old started his career parallel to his studies in Switzerland as co-founder of an agency.
Before joining Jung von Matt, Peter Figge spent 18 years working for Swiss, German and international agencies in Zurich, Paris, New York and Hamburg. Among them were leading positions at the creative houses KNSK/BBDO, Proximity Worldwide, Tribal DDB and most recently DDB Group Germany. Peter Figges’ special focus was early on on digitization strategies in marketing and the change processes of major brands and companies.
The Jung-von-Matt Group, which operates internationally with 18 agencies and 1200 employees, was elected “Independent Agency of the Year” in Cannes in 2018.
