Ingo Zamperoni, born in 1974, studied American studies, law and history. A Fulbright scholarship took him to Boston to study abroad. After earning his master’s degree, he worked in the ARD studio in Washington and as a domestic correspondent for “Tagesschau” and “Tagesthemen,” among other things. Later, he moderated “ARD Nachtmagazin,” among other programs. Since February 2014, he has worked in Washington as ARD foreign correspondent, and since fall 2016 he has hosted “ARD Tagesthemen.” He lives in Hamburg with his American wife and three children. His books “Fremde Heimat Amerika” (2016) and “Anderland. Die USA unter Trump – ein Schadensbericht” (2019) are published by Ullstein.
