2020 everything is different – including the MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN in October! In 2020, MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN will become a digital one-week conference with accompanying virtual Expo, interactive networking opportunities and entertainment formats. Under the motto “This is Media NOW”, we will offer over 100 lectures, interviews, masterclasses and networking sessions digitally from 24 to 30 October 2020. Depending on the current situation in October, smaller physical events are planned in Munich.
The corona pandemic has shown that the demand for information and entertainment has increased significantly, especially on digital channels. The world of media is more complex than ever and is constantly changing. Under the motto “This is Media NOW” the MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN 2020 will discuss the current challenges and trends in the media industry. In addition to the classic media such as newspapers, radio and TV, the media industry has long included new players such as YouTuber, Podcaster and Influencer, as well as numerous new applications, channels and formats. All this is not the future, all this is media today. And this is exactly what we want to discuss at the 34th MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN. We will bring you together with the inspiring minds, the best ideas and the most relevant innovations in the industry.
In 2020, MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN will offer even more international programming, open up virtual spaces and additionally offer live online events from the fields of media, culture and music.
Two conference tracks from each of the twelve main themes will run live from 1:00 to 7:00 pm over the seven days. Traditionally, the MEDIENTAGE Summit, the Audio Summit, the TV Summit and the Journalism Summit will take place. The Expo will be implemented as a virtual exhibition, where exhibitors can integrate their own applications in their area. The area will be supplemented by innovative AR applications, chat rooms and networking tools.
For XR-interested audiences, the MedienNetzwerk Bayern and the XR HUB Bavaria are organizing additional conference program, master classes and Expo booths. The area for media training and further education is also implemented in virtual space. It offers a separate conference programme for pupils, students, trainees and people interested in further education as well as expo stands and access to the networking area.
Even though we regret that we will not be able to meet participants and partners in person this year, we are convinced that it is currently more important than ever to exchange information about developments in the industry. We are looking forward to the first digital MEDIENTAGE with you!
