This year, MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN will take place from 18 to 20 October 2022. After two years of digital and hybrid implementation, we are looking forward to a live event with speakers and audience on site. The Medientage Summit will be hosted by the TV moderator Sebastian Pufpaff.

Over the three days, you can expect a conference program on at least four parallel stages with about 400 speakers. In addition, there will be a special on Web3, the Metaverse and media in the NFT economy in 2022. TV broadcasters, audio experts and technology providers will be presenting at the Expo. 

Moreover, the “Blaue Panther – TV & Streaming Award” will be granted in 2022 as part of the #MTM22 in Munich. The prizes will be given at an award show on 19 October – by Judith Gerlach, the digital minister responsible for the Bavarian TV and film industry, and further guests. 


The motto

We found it difficult to summarize the current trends and developments in the media industry in just a few keywords. That is why this year we have come up with a poem that, in our opinion, sums up what is moving the media industry at the moment. 


The Corona pandemic has shown how much the media permeate all areas of our lives. The world of media is more diverse and complex than ever. Today, technology, platforms, new digital offerings and new channels are shaping the media landscape, and incidents like the Ukraine war are demonstrating in a harrowing way the relevance of good journalism and serious news.

The focus in 2022 will be on the most important social and media policy debates from war reporting, regulation, new business models to the latest trends like NFTs and Metaverse in the media world. Tickets will be available from mid / end of July.
