PD Dr. habil. Tino Meitz

Tino Meitz, born in Salzburg in 1973, studied psychology, communication science, economic policy and political science at the University of Münster, where he completed his doctorate and habilitation. He has spent over 20 years researching and teaching at prestigious universities in Germany, Switzerland, the UK and the USA, most recently as Professor of Media Psychology at Texas Tech University, where he was appointed in 2019. His more than 100 scientific publications show him to be an influential scientist in the field of cognitive information processing of media-mediated communication and media effects research. His award-winning research is published in leading journals, including Nature: scientific reports, Memory & Cognition, Journal of Experimental Psychology and Media Psychology.
