Bert Habets

Bert Habets, born in 1971, has been CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE since November 1, 2022. The manager has been working in the media industry for over 25 years and has in-depth experience in managing global media companies as well as extensive expertise in the introduction and expansion of streaming video services. Habets joined ProSiebenSat.1 from the European media company Antenna Group, where he was CEO from November 2021 to August 2022 and was responsible for the Free TV, Content and Digital divisions, among others. Habets was also a member of the Supervisory Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE between May and October 2022. Between 2017 and 2019, Bert Habets was responsible for the strategic direction and operational excellence of the Broadcast, TV Production and Digital Business divisions in his role as CEO and Co-CEO of RTL Group. He accelerated the growth of the Fremantle Scripted Content division and built a portfolio of ad tech investments. In his almost ten-year tenure as CEO of RTL Nederland (2008 - 2017), he launched the video streaming service Videoland in the Netherlands, followed by a roll-out of streaming services across RTL Group. At the same time, he transformed the Dutch RTL subsidiary from a traditional TV broadcaster into an omnichannel media and entertainment company, including a successful ventures division specializing in media-for-equity.
