Stephen Sikder

Stephen A. Sikder, 59, is a recognized expert in the film and media industry. Since 2019, he has been actively involved in the CSU Film Commission, a body made up of leading players in the German film industry, which he has chaired since 2021. Together with the Bavarian State Minister for Media, Dr. Florian Herrmann, MdL, he is driving the further development of the Commission as a film-policy think tank under the motto “Bavaria Moves Images,” with the aim of strengthening the Bavarian and German film industry in an extremely challenging global environment by creating the best possible framework conditions as a production location. At the same time, Stephen A. Sikder looks back on more than 30 years of a successful career as a casting director and consultant. As owner of DreamTeam Munich e.K., he has been involved in casting more than 2,000 screenplays for German and international cinema and television productions, including numerous market leaders in the TV fiction sector. In addition, Stephen continues to work as an actor, presenter, and coach in the media industry. He is married and the father of one son.
