Dr. Marc Al-Hames

Marc Al-Hames is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hubert Burda Media.
He joined Burda in 2011 and has held several leadership roles since then, including Managing Director of the search company Cliqz and CEO of the formerly publicly listed travel company HolidayCheck Group AG. In 2023, he became a member of Burda’s Executive Board and assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2026.
Before joining Burda, Marc worked at McKinsey & Company. He studied Electrical Engineering and holds a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich.
