Tomomi Themann

Tomomi Themann, born in Hamburg to a Japanese mother and a German father, discovered her passion for the stage at an early age. Even in kindergarten and school, she enthusiastically took on "leading" roles before starting singing and musical theater lessons at the age of 13.
She gained her first television experience at 16 in the KIKA reality TV series "Durch die Wildnis" (Through the Wilderness). This sparked a desire to learn more about media and acting. Consequently, after graduating high school in 2022, she completed a set internship for the ZDF series "Jenseits der Spree" to explore the film industry behind the scenes. At the same time, she tried her hand as a host for her own format, the KIKA educational show "Tomomi und das Geld" (Tomomi and Money), where she explained financial topics to children and teenagers over two seasons from 2022 to 2024. Her performance as a moderator earned her a nomination for the Stuttgart Moderation Prize.
With this experience under her belt, Tomomi Themann transitioned into acting and immediately made a rapid start: In 2025, she demonstrated her talent for multifaceted characters right at the beginning of her acting career with two TV series and a feature film:
She kicked things off with the six-part ZDFneo series "Club der Dinosaurier," directed by Lutz Heineking jr. and head writer Nils Gustenhofen. The ensemble includes Hannah Schiller, Shadi Eck, and Diyar Ilhan, alongside Sonja Gerhardt, Alessandro Schuster, and Max Mauff, among others. This was followed in the fall by the fourth installment of the successful film franchise THE SCHOOL OF MAGICAL ANIMALS (DIE SCHULE DER MAGISCHEN TIERE), in which Tomomi plays a lead role, directed by Maggie Peren and Bernhard Jasper. Additionally, the ARD/SWR science-fiction series "The Stardust Hotel" will follow in May 2026, featuring Tomomi Themann in an ensemble lead as the hotel employee, Eks.
Alongside her work as an actress, Tomomi Themann continues to pursue her great thirst for knowledge and various hobbies. After high school, she spent several months in Costa Rica and subsequently completed a voluntary internship in a kindergarten. Furthermore, Themann has been studying Communication Science at the University of Münster since 2023. She is a sports enthusiast—currently focusing on kickboxing and athletics, though surfing, skating, horseback riding, and bouldering are also among her passions. Her musical talent—she sings, dances, and plays both piano and guitar—has already been showcased in her film projects.
