Jan Peter Lacher

Jan Peter Lacher began his career in 2000 at RTL Deutschland as Executive Assistant to the Head of Programming at the RTL channel. Since then, he has held various leadership positions in the areas of programming, strategy, and transformation. He was also responsible for the successful launch of the linear TV channels Nitro and RTL Up. In February 2019, he was appointed Executive Vice President (EVP) Programme Strategy & Planning at RTL Deutschland, followed by his appointment as Chief Planning & Cooperations Officer and Head of the Transformation Office in March 2021. From April 2022 to July 2023, he served as Chief Transformation Officer at RTL Deutschland. On 1 August 2023, he joined RTL Group’s Corporate Centre as SVP Content, and since 1 February 2025, he has also been SVP Content & Business Development, responsible for the development of RTL Group’s international content activities, the identification of new growth opportunities, and the strategic implementation of artificial intelligence (AI). Jan Peter holds a diploma in Film and Television Production from the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Potsdam, Germany.
