Yoko Higuchi-Zitzmann

Yoko Higuchi-Zitzmann studied law in Bonn, Lausanne, and Munich on a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation. In 1999, she began her professional career as an acquisitions manager at Prokino Filmverleih GmbH, where she was responsible for international film acquisitions. In 2004, she moved to Constantin Film AG, where she headed up international film acquisitions until 2008.
As head of film rights trading at Telepool GmbH, she was then responsible for the company's international expansion. From 2010, she built up the cinema production department at Ziegler Film, where she realized several cinema productions, including Frisch gepresst (2012) and Mein Blind Date mit dem Leben (2017).
From 2018 to 2022, she was a producer and executive producer at Letterbox Filmproduktion GmbH, where she produced the RTL+ event series Herzogpark, among other things. She then took on a co-management role at Pantaleon Films GmbH. Until 2024, she was CEO of the international distribution and production company Telepool.
Yoko Higuchi-Zitzmann has received numerous awards for her work, including being named one of the most influential women in the international film and television business by The Hollywood Reporter (2023, 2024) and “Woman of the Year” by Beyond Gender Agenda in 2024.
