Anja Braune

Anja Braune is a media lawyer/manager in Munich. She started her career as a lawyer at the German-French television station ARTE. She then spent several years in management positions at national and international film and media companies before joining GEMA in 2015 as head of the online (music) licensing department. From 2020 to 2025, Anja Braune returned to the film industry as managing director of VGF mbH. In these last two positions in particular, she played an active role in shaping digital transformation and its effects, successfully introducing strategic realignments. She is currently taking a career break and using this time to gain qualifications in neuroscientific-systemic organizational development and process consulting in order to be equipped as a manager for future challenges in the new reality of ever-shorter change intervals.
