Alex is an online editor, concept developer, and project manager with a background in literature and social sciences. His main interests are digital media, politics, and pop culture. At DW Innovation in Bonn/Berlin, he is responsible for national and international research projects at the intersection of technology and journalism. As a fellow of “Reinvent Social Platforms,” Alex is working, among other things, to make the Fediverse better known among media professionals. His goal: to move away from broken platforms such as X and Instagram—towards an open network of services that are democratic, sustainable, and digitally sovereign.
