Nicolas Leu
Visual Effects Supervisor & Producer
Nicolas Leu has been working in the film and television industry for over 15 years – initially as a compositing artist, later as a compositing supervisor, VFX supervisor, and producer. After working for RISE, Trixter, and Pixomondo, he now freelances on film and series productions for cinema, TV, and streaming.
As a compositing artist, he has been involved in international projects such as Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Game of Thrones. Among other things, he was responsible for the visual effects for Dark and Barbaren as VFX supervisor and producer. He is currently working on another Netflix series.
His current focus is on AI-supported workflows and the development of pipeline tools for optimizing VFX processes. He participated in the Unreal Fellowship for Virtual Production, is a member of the Visual Effects Society, and was honored with an award from the German Academy of Television for his work on Dark. He completed his studies in design at the Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg and at the Savannah College of Art and Design (USA).
