Meike Kamp

Lawyer Meike Kamp was elected as Berlin's new Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in October 2022 and has headed the authority since her appointment in November 2022. Ms. Kamp previously worked for the authority between 2010 and 2019, focusing on data protection, media, and freedom of information. From 2005 to 2010, she worked at the Independent Center for Data Protection Schleswig-Holstein. Prior to her election, Ms. Kamp worked as a representative in the Bundesrat for the state of Bremen in Berlin.
