Shadi Abou-Zahra is Principal Accessibility Standards and Policy Manager at Amazon. His responsibilities include contributing to the development of technical standards for digital accessibility worldwide. Shadi has more than 25 years of experience in the field of accessibility for people with disabilities and has played a key role in the development of international standards during this time. Before joining Amazon, Shadi worked for the renowned Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the United Nations Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), and Xerox Austria, among others. He holds master's degrees in computer science (MSc CS) and business administration (MBA) and has first-hand experience of the impact of technology and innovation on inclusion.
