Prof. Dr. Ralf Müller-Terpitz studied law at the Universities of Bonn and Geneva. After completing his legal clerkship in Cologne and New York, he worked as a legal advisor in the Legal/Regulatory Department of the Düsseldorf-based telecommunications company o.tel.o. until the end of 1997. This was followed by his doctorate (1997) and habilitation (2005) at the Institute for Public Law at the University of Bonn. In 2007, he took over the Chair of Constitutional and Administrative Law as well as Economic Administration, Media, and Information Law at the University of Passau. Since September 2013, he has held the Chair of Public Law, Economic Regulation and Media Law at the University of Mannheim. In 2009, he was appointed a member of the Commission on Concentration in the Media (KEK), which he chaired from October 2014 to March 2017.
