Cathrin Jacob

Head of ARD Podcast-Unit, Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg

Cathrin Jacob began her professional career in the late 1990s with commercial training in the music industry at BMG International, where she subsequently worked in Vienna for two years. Her studies in social and business communication took her back to Germany, more specifically to the Berlin University of the Arts. After graduating, she worked in strategic consulting as a “conceptioner” and “planner” at various agencies. She deepened her expertise in marketing as a product marketing manager at Google Germany, among other positions. Most recently, she specialized in digital audio content and innovation, with roles such as “Creative Strategist” and “Content Partnerships Manager” at Spotify, as well as “Audio Manager Distribution” at Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg and “Product Innovation Manager Audio” at Norddeutscher Rundfunk. Since January 2025, she has been head of the newly founded ARD Podcast Unit.
