Andrea Mirbeth

Andrea Mirbeth has been head of the cross-media editorial team “Wissen und Bildung aktuell” (Current Knowledge and Education) at Bayerischer Rundfunk since October 2022. Among other things, the editorial team produces the documentary format “ARD Wissen” and the arte science series “42 – Die Antwort auf fast alles” (42 – The Answer to Almost Everything) for BR, as well as cross-media current affairs reporting. It also produces various podcasts and social media offerings in the knowledge and education department, including “IQ Wissenschaft und Forschung” (IQ Science and Research), “Alpha Uni” and “Die Frage” (The Question). Since 2025, BR has been one of the leaders in the “Wissen Bildung Schule” (Knowledge Education School) competence center, alongside SWR and WDR.
