Oliver Kalkofe

Oliver Kalkofe is a comedian, satirist, presenter, audiobook narrator, voice actor, actor, and author. Born in 1965, he trained as a foreign language correspondent and studied journalism, English, and German. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the German Comedy Award, the Quotenmeter Television Award, the Donnep Media Award, and the Grimme Award. His career began in the last millennium at FRÜHSTYXRADIO (Radio ffn). This is also where he laid the foundation for his first cult TV format, KALKOFES MATTSCHEIBE (Premiere, ARD, ProSieben, Tele5). Kalkofe enjoyed success at the box office with the Edgar Wallace parodies DER WIXXER (2004) and NEUES VOM WIXXER (2007). Together with Oliver Welke, Oliver Kalkofe has been presenting the currently most successful podcast in the ARD audio library, KALK & WELK - DIE FABELHAFTEN BOOMER BOYS, on a weekly basis since September 2022. He also hosted the TV shows FAKING BAD - BESSER ALS DIE WAHRHEIT (ARD) and DAS DUELL UM DIE GELD mit Joko & Klaas (Pro7). His column KALKOFES LETZTE WORTE appears regularly in TV Spielfilm. For more than a decade, Kalkofe (together with Peter Rütten) has been presenting the cult comedy show #SCHLEFAZ - DIE SCHLECHTESTEN FILME ALLER ZEITEN (The Worst Movies of All Time), initially on TELE 5 and since 2024 on NITRO and RTL+. His current book SIEG DER BLÖDIGKEIT (Victory of Stupidity) made him a Spiegel best-selling author. In his latest work, NIE WAR FRÜHER SCHÖNER ALS JETZT (NEVER WAS BEFORE MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN NOW), he looks back to the future from the perspective of a boomer boy.
