Peter Müller

Peter Müller worked for Der Spiegel for ten years as office manager in Brussels and previously as a correspondent in the capital office. Before his career at the news magazine, he was deputy political editor at Welt am Sonntag and a correspondent at Handelsblatt. In 2016, Müller published his book Der Machtkampf. Seehofer und die Zukunft der CSU (The Power Struggle: Seehofer and the Future of the CSU). Most recently, he worked in Brussels as a communications advisor and speechwriter for the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Müller is a fully qualified lawyer and studied in Passau and Munich, followed by Harvard. He has been editor-in-chief of the Augsburger Allgemeine since September 2023.
