Dr. Sibylle Anderl

Sibylle Anderl has been head of the KNOWLEDGE department at ZEIT since January 2024. She studied physics and philosophy in Berlin and then earned her doctorate in astrophysics in Bonn. She then spent several years researching star formation in Grenoble before joining the arts section of the FAZ as an editor in 2017. In 2021, she was appointed head of the science department there. Sibylle Anderl hosts the monthly magazine “Space Night Science” on ARD-alpha, is editor of the cultural magazine “Kursbuch,” and author of various nonfiction books. She has received several awards for her journalistic achievements.
