Michael Hilscher

Since 2013, Michael Hilscher has been responsible for all sales, production, and marketing at Bavaria Studios and, as an authorized signatory, is part of the management team at Bavaria Studios. In this role, he acts as co-producer and production manager for Bavaria Studios projects, among other things. He is also a member of the jury for the Bavarian Film Award, a lecturer at the University of Television and Film Munich, and, since 2025, a member of the board of trustees of the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Foundation. He began his career in 1999 as a junior editor at Regional Fernsehen Oberbayern. His great passion for moving images then took him from a Kinopolis cinema to the film, TV, theater, and creative industries. Michael studied business management with a focus on international marketing at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol and Lingnan University Hong Kong and completed an MSc in management at Leeds University Business School.
