Ingrid Thurnher

Ingrid Thurnher has been ORF Radio Director since 2022, responsible for Hitradio Ö3, Österreich 1, and Radio FM4, among others. She studied journalism and theater studies and completed a part-time business MBA program. Ingrid Thurnher joined ORF in 1985 as a TV announcer and worked as an editor at the Lower Austria regional studio and later in domestic politics, hosting programs such as “ZiB 2,” “ZiB 1,” “Im Zentrum,” “Runder Tisch,” and “Sommergespräche,” and hosted the ORF TV debates for the 2013 and 2016 elections. From 2017 to 2022, she was editor-in-chief of ORF III. Ingrid Thurnher has been awarded the Romy for “most popular presenter” seven times during her career.
