Political scientist Jeanette Hofmann heads the ‘Politics of Digitalization’ research group at the Berlin Social Science Center. She is Professor of Internet Policy at the FU Berlin and founding director of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society. At the Weizenbaum Institute, she heads a research group on technology, power and domination. She has been researching the Internet since the mid-1990s. She has been working on the topic of democracy and digitalization for around ten years. In recent years, her research has focused on disinformation and the regulation of platforms and AI.
