Marie Kilg
Chief AI Officer, Deutsche Welle
Marie Kilg is a journalist, product manager, and media consultant. She has developed bots for media companies and universities, contributed to the creation of the German personality for Amazon's Alexa, and co-founded the Turing Agency, an “artistic agency for human-machine blurring” that promotes AI discussions in society. As Chief AI Officer at Deutsche Welle, Marie coordinates innovation projects for international journalism. She trained her first neural network in 2017 and brought the first non-human newspaper columnist to a print newspaper in 2022. Since 2023, she has been co-hosting the weekly “AI Podcast” on ARD with Gregor Schmalzried and Fritz Espenlaub.
