Susanne Aigner
Head of Advertising, Netflix
Susanne Aigner has held leading positions in the media industry for over 20 years. As Head of Advertising at Netflix, she has been responsible for the marketing of advertising time for Netflix Germany since 2023. Until mid-2022, she was Managing Director of the American media group Discovery (now: Warner Bros. Discovery), where she was responsible for the company's business in the DACH markets and BNLX. In German-speaking countries, her portfolio included the channels DMAX, Eurosport, TELE5, TLC, Home & Garden TV, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet. The communications graduate has worked for the TV company since 2006. Before being appointed to the management board in May 2011, she was responsible for advertising time marketing at DMAX for five years. Before joining Discovery, she was Head of Marketing and Sales at Sport 1 (formerly DSF) and Managing Director of the media agency Media Plan. Susanne Aigner has successfully led numerous comprehensive integration and transformation processes throughout her career. She is also particularly committed to diversity and empowerment. Susanne Aigner was a member of the board of the Verband Privater Medien e.V. (VAUNET) and chairwoman of the shareholders' meeting of Screenforce Gattungsmarketing GmbH. She is a member of the Presidium of the Bavarian Academy for Television, Chairwoman of the Media Policy Committee of the Bavarian Economic Advisory Council and an advisor to DSM Deutsche Sport Marketing.
