Jutta Brennauer

Jutta Brennauer has been project manager at Neue deutsche Medienmacher*innen, an association for journalists with and without a history of migration, for six years. With the BetterPost project, she advises editorial teams and provides support for good - because differentiated - reporting on social media and for community management with attitude.
In her work for the NdM, she has designed and organized more than 50 training courses and conducted many of them herself as a trainer. As part of the competence network against online hate, she worked with the NdM and three other organizations in 2024 on the study "Lauter Hass. Leiser Rückzug", a representative survey on hate online. In 2019, she published her book "Von ‘Wirtschaftsflüchtlingen’ und ‘Willkommenskultur’. Refugee reporting away from the politics section".
She also has many years of practical experience in political communication, including as a public relations and social media officer in the Green parliamentary group in the Bundestag.
